Tango2 consist of two well known protagonists from todays tango scene. Daniel Zisman, and his 21 years old son, young bandoneon performer Michael Zisman.
In The last 10 years the Duo has devoted itself to a vast repertoire covering from authentic, traditional tango, the music of Astor Piazzolla to own compositions.
Tango2 create in their performances a colourful musical collage consisting of different snapshots from history and life in Buenos Aires.
 
Zisman and son appear (as performers or as director/ performer) all over switzerland and abroad; Only in the last two years they produced four records with their well known 676 NuevoTango Ensemble.
They also appeared together in the first theatrical production of the original version of Piazzollas operita María de Buenos Aires (lead by Daniel Zisman) which was a huge success at the Stadttheater Bern in 2001. In 2003 María de Buenos Aires was again included in the Stadttheater’s repertoire, and in June 2004 the it will take place in Zurich.

Michael Zisman
Michael Zisman was born in 1982. He studied the bandoneon with Nestor Marconi in Buenos Aires and composition with Juan C. Cirigliano. In his childhood years he has worked closely with the bandoneonist Peter Gneist in Berne and especially with his father Daniel Zisman, with whom he appeares in various Tango groups aswell as in symphonic and theatrical productions.
Studies at the Swiss Jazz School in Berne with Bert Joris, Andy Scherrer (Improvisation), and Frank Sikora (Composing/Arranging).

 

  • Michael Zisman, who has both Swiss and Argentinean nationality, has an extensive repertoire covering tango and jazz, but he specialises in the music of Astor Piazzolla.
  • He has already appeared as soloist with the Berne Symphony Orchestra, Berne Camerata, M.I.T. Symphony in Boston, Jad Sharif Chamber Orchestra aswell as the Israel Philharmonic  Orchestra. Since 1999 he is a member of the successful 676 NuevoTango Ensemble. Soloist in Hanover for Expo 2000 and Expo 2002 in Switzerland; several television and radio appearences, including swiss and US- National TV.
